Who is a member of SEEC?
All enrolled Environmental Engineering (Environmental Systems, Water Resources and Ocean Systems Engineering) students are SEEC members. That means no sign up or membership fees.
Why we are here?
The objective of the UWA Student Environmental Engineers Club is to cater for the unique social, educational and vocational needs of environmental engineering and applied ocean science students.
SEEC fulfills four main roles:
- A representative body for the students to the Department
- Notifying members of important study and job opportunities
- Organising social events during the year
- Organising educational events during the year
Traditionally environmental engineering students at UWA have been a tight knit group and we would like a club which reflects and supports this interaction. This interaction becomes especially important when considering the close working environment of many environmental engineering projects, in particular the final year design project. In addition, since environmental and applied ocean engineering are developing disciplines, both at the university level and in the workplace, we feel it is important to have a voice which represents our views at a university level and which forms bridges with which to help students moving into practice.
